Sometimes our viewers have trouble toggling their MTS/SAP, and if they activate it without meaning to, they will hear some programs in Spanish.

If you're hearing programs in Spanish unintentionally, these instructions should help.

VIZIO

Have you ever turned on your favorite show and suddenly found the characters speaking Spanish, French, or even providing a play-by-play of what's happening on-screen? That's because your TV might be set to a special feature known as Secondary Audio Programming (SAP). It's a cool tool for those who want it, but if you're itching to get back to your show's original audio, we've got you covered!

First things first, if your show is serenading you with Spanish or describing every detail, there's a quick fix. Just grab your remote and follow these easy steps to switch your TV's audio back to English.

For VIZIO OS TV models:

• Check that you're on an antenna channel (that's the usual TV channels you watch).
• Hit the Left Arrow button on your remote control.
• Find and click the Settings option (it's the one with the gear icon).
• Go to Antenna Settings.
• Choose Digital Audio.
• Make sure 'Digital Audio' is set to English.

For most other VIZIO TVs:

• Press Menu or find the TV Channels option on your TV.
• Look for Analog Audio in the options.
• Select Stereo or Mono to return to your regular programming.

SONY

Second audio program (SAP), also known as secondary audio programming, provides audio tracks in languages other than the native language that was recorded in a program.

This feature is only available on the TV if you use an antenna or cable without a set-top box. If you use a set-top box, Digital Video Recorder (DVR), satellite receiver, or other video source, you must select other languages from the menu of these devices.

To Turn It On or Off

• Some models provide an MTS, SAP, or AUDIO button on the supplied remote control.
• For other TVs, you can turn it on or off from the TV menu.

Note:

• Generally, the SAP setting is in the Settings menu under Audio or Closed Caption.
• Consult the instruction manual of the TV for model-specific information about the operation of the SAP feature. Manuals are posted on your model support page.
• If you hear SAP when you view a program from a source device connected to the VIDEO input, check the instruction manual of the source device to turn on or off SAP.
