We consider article removal requests on a case-by-case basis.
While we strive to offer important, critical news to our readers based on the information provided at the time of publication, we understand that there are some instances in which previously covered news stories do not include follow-up information, such as dropped charges or expunged records.
We know that these cases can often negatively impact the life of a person, place or thing included in the story and that not every news story deserves to be on the internet forever.
That’s why we offer a chance for article removal consideration. We can’t guarantee every request will be approved, but to apply for consideration, email Digital Director Marilyn Vaca at [email protected] and include the link to the article, the reason you want it removed and any relevant documentation.
Please note, that removing the article from News4JAX.com does not necessarily remove it from Google searches but will return a 404 error when the article is clicked on. If your News4JAX story removal request is approved, Google also provides details of how to request removal of outdated content: https://support.google.com/websearch/answer/6349986?sjid=11124215838866774372-NA.
